Last hamper arrival from Lynn’s head office..

This hamper was left at my doorstep for hours cos my mum and I brought Lervelle's for checkup.. When the delivery lady called me, my mum and I was caught at Tiong Bahru’s Plaza due to heavy rain. How do we ended up in Tiong Bahru Plaza? we took a cab from TMC to Tiong Bahru Plaza to get a tin of Mamil Gold as TMC pharmacy ran out of stock.It was PD's suggestion and recommendation for Lervelle’s colicky stomach..

4th Dec.. my bday which i totally forgotten..
until i received a bday sms from my dearie, Jenny this morning..
sounds a bit kua zhang to have forgotten my own bday..
really busy with bb day and nite..in my mind is always bb
or mayb i jus dun want to remind myself that i'm 30 liao...muahahaha....

a special bday this year for me..
finally i dun have to work on my bday.. cos if my bday falls on a wkday,
i will be slogging hard in office till late hours doing month end closing..

this year, i'm doing confinement at home with bb although no bday celebration but i'm very happy and contented to receive bday well wishes via sms, msn and emails from frds... =)

Our Little Baby Princess.. Lervelle..

it's been a very long time since i blog...

we were patiently waiting for my little baby princess to be born...
Thru out my pregnancy... hubby and i experienced lots of wonderful, amazing, astonishing, heartwarming, worries, anxiety, endurance, pain, discomfort, sleepless nights, swollen legs etc..

she decided to come out 2 weeks before my estimated delivery date which does surprises us cos she was only 38wks...
Though it was normal that a baby can be born after 36wks...
but we still have our reservation... will bb be too small in size? will she be okay?

However, the delivery went smoothly and bb was okay..
jus that after my bb delivery, i'm not in good health...
but the moment when my bb smile at me, everything is forgotten...

Fulfilling Dinner...

hubby brought me to Ikea @ Alexandra for dinner tonight..
it's been a while since we went.. we missed the swedish meatballs, chicken wings and hotdogs! =)
the whole store was undergoing some revamped and renovation...thus the store was quite empty..
but the restaurant is quite packed! the queue was long cos it was dining time..
luckily we still manage to get a seat..
hubby ordered swedish meatballs, chicken wings and spaghetti.
first time i tried the spaghetti.. not too bad but consider quite exp cos not much ingredient.
this time round i didnt hav the chicken wings so hubby only order 2 chicken wings for himself.. ha!

we bought a small shoe rack to leave our slippers at the corridor and as usual before we left the store.. we have our fav hotdogs!!
it's was a very fulfilling dinner ... yummy yummy =D

MRT station movie...

this morning on my way to office from Tanjong Pager MRT
out of a sudden, i felt someone bumped into me..the force was great
in my heart, i was like.. on no!! that's it! i'm going to kiss the ground liao...
luckily the guy who bumped into me reacted fast and quickly caught hold and gripped my arm with his hand..PHEW!!
he kept saying sorry to me.. cos i think he was reading the newspaper n was too engrossed..and he's quite tall so he sort of didnt "see" me..
i looked up and replied him.. it's ok .. to me, i managed to escape from the fall, i already thank god else i cannot imagine what is going to happen to me..

when i relate the incident to mummy Jean in office...
she jokingly say.. aiyo.. lynn, too bad you married and pregnant liao .. else the scenario machiam like watch movie like that...
a guy bumped into a girl... etc etc.. those typical movie scenes...
i told her.. yah the guy quite good looking, very gentleman and got built ..hee!
mummy jean goes, then u should have replied him.. oh it's ok, dun feel paiseh. But can u give me your contact number and i intro my frd to you... HAHHHAHAHAHAHAAH =D

Kung Fu Panda....

hubby and i went watch kung fu panda last night.
the queue was really long..cos it's school holiday and u see parents bringing their kids to catch the same show
luckily we managed to get the 8.30pm tickets at Tiong Bahru Plaza
a big movie theatre and it was packed n almost fully booked.. Only left the first 2 row empty..
it's a lighthearted movie and we find it fantastic and hilarious…
and all in the theatre jus start laughing from the start to the end of show.. =D

I experienced something amazing on Friday morning before I left for work..
felt some gas/bubbles in the tummy area so i placed my palm on my tummy
I felt bubbles … like pop corns popping in my tummy for a short while…
in my heart I was like.. Was it gas or bb's movement?
if it's bb's movement, then bb do give a kick as a signal
a few seconds later, I felt a very slight pop/thump coming out from the tummy
I tried again… Another slight pop/thump
I tried for the last time… n another thump again… =)

is it my own imagination?

finally after weeks of keeping everything under wrap..
hubby and i would like to share our joy on discovery of our little one on 16 Mar 2008..our little one will be due in November.. A wonderful and amazing surprise for us =D

My MIA period - 11th to 27th Apr
I was down with persistent fever and cough...
Doc could only prescribe mild medication and in total was given 11 days of MCs =(

the most important thing that i would like to do is to really thank those those frds who realised my MIA for more than 2wks in MSN, Yahoo, Skype during this period...
my heartfelt thanks to those who showed their care and concern via sms during my MIA..and not forgetting those who send their regards via msn when i was back in action..

would "chong xi" and these events occured within a wk

received a call from my mum this morning before i left for work..
my mum told me the scene of my auntie's two sons weeping their hearts out while wiping
my uncle's face as a form of procedure... and their little sister not knowing wat happened.. cried together with her two elder bros..

little sister kept saying, "papa still sleeping..."
n kept asking my auntie, "mummy, y papa haven't wake up yet? he slept very long already.."

upon hearing these.... it's so saddening...

my uncle has left this world in this morning, 4th Nov 3am+
the cancer cells spreaded so rapidly..
he only managed to survive for 3 months..
all the pain that he went thru...
numerous medications he took....
chemo treatments he went thru...
all the tears that my auntie had shed...
n my little 2 yr old cousin who wasn't aware of what was going on..

there were few times where he would leave us...
but the love he had for his wife and his 3 kids...
even to the last minute, his last breathe with the aid of the machine.....
when he could only rem his wife and kids..

he was no longer painful...
the way how he hanged on touches our heart...

life is so vulnerable...

on 30th Oct 2007, hubby's sis (sis-in-law) gave birth to a cute chubby girl weighing 3.4kg!!
though we can't visit them but from the small pix which the mummy sent via hp...
her bb is huge!
hubby say.. bb arms looks bigger than mine... Ha!

sil had a hard time with induced labour which totals 13 hrs and c-section after that *cold sweat*

Our Honeymoon in Greece

17th - 29th Oct 2007 ~ Honeymoon in Greece

We set off to Greece for our honeymoon after our wedding ~ 17th - 29th Oct
it's a very nice and exotic country..
We visited 2 Greek islands.. Santorini and Mykonos
and Capital, Athens..and another province, Delphi

the islands have breath-taking views especially in Santorini..
we rented a car for a day which hubby drove around the island.. it's a left hand drive...
our first experience driving in a foreign country ... on a left hand drive car and right hand car lane...hee! of cos.. getting lost initially but back on track after a short while....
we went to the volcano island.. we climbed all the way up ... very tiring.... but the view was magnificent!.... the caldera view all ard the volcano island...
we had our honeymoon dinner (Greek cuisine) at one of the restaurants which faces the volcano with a sunset view...a big challenge for us to hav outdoor meals in a cold weather with strong wind..but the sunset view in this island was breathtaking....

we didnt really hav good luck in Mykonos as it was turning winter and it rained often...but we enjoyed the experience of getting lost in the narrow labyrinth... and finding our way out again... =)

On the other hand, Athens.....the capital was ancient with ruins left many years back.. rocks and pillars in every ancient sites... one would wonder how the ancient ppl managed to craft the statutes or build those huge pillars ...weren't they great engineers, architects, interior designers ?

we also made a visit to the Olympic Stadium which was held in Athens in Year 2004..
the magnificient stadium onces held all competitors from all around the world.. =)
though we could get into the stadium, we couldnt get into the individual halls/venues for close up photo shots...

we went on a one day tour out of Athens into another province, Delphi...
a Greek lunch inclusive with a beautiful view of sea and deep valleys filled with olives trees..

It was an eye-opener for us.. a very different European country from which we previously travelled to..=)

15th October 2007 ~ My Wedding...

it's been a super long time since i'm back here.. almost 2 months!

i was too busy in Sept and Oct preparing for my wedding on 15th Oct 2007..
after the big day, flew off to Greece for my honeymoon..
back in end Oct but i felt unwell for a few days..
jetlag...motion sickness... *always the same problem when i travel* shrug

All the months of preparation for the big day marked happy memories process
i must admit that wedding preparation was really no fun.. all the planning and arrangement were super BIG headache with disagreements here and there..

we managed to work through it together...

To all my pretty, wonderful and bubbly jiemeis (Jenny, Glenda, Faith and April), we really thanked them for taking the day off and contributing to a very heartwarming happy memories that were captured in video .. and their help with the dinner reception..
there was no sabotage games like eating wasabe... mixed sauces...disgusting drinks/food..
though some frds came and asked me why the games were so easy..
but to us, we find ours a heartwarming process =)

on the day itself, i was anxiously waiting outside the hall before my 2nd march in.. and peeking into the hall to see the video highlight being shown..and i was laughing outside the hall with hubby abt it...
when we reached home after the dinner, we played the clips a few times...and laughed...
we still play the video every now and then to reminisce the day's joy, fun, laughter....

My good frd, Jean (mummy-to-be) is the next person who i must thank! She had been on skype with me, constantly helping me out with the wedding preparation! She was the person behind the screen.. we got the same photographer who Jean engaged for their rom and wedding... her intro to me of a traditional confectionery for my Guo Da Li, design-inserts of tea ceremony info, gate-crashing sabo speech for hubby, the lovely wrist corsages for jiemeis, thank you speech translated in chinese.....etc... etc...she can consider to be a wedding co-ordinator! =)

We didnt get to enjoy the dinner that night.. but we hoped that all our invited guests had enjoyed the nite.. =)

been feeling rather down recently..
my uncle’s stomach cancer..
doctor has estimated that his life span .
longest is 6mths.. shortest is 3mths…
they have 3 kids… youngest only 2yrs old…
it’s really very heartbreaking for the whole family…
doctor mentioned that it’s all due to his smoking habits…
I really hope that everyone can kicked off this habit as sometime it can be
too late to regret later in life..
It’s not for own health benefit but for the benefit of the whole family…
Sometime, u never noe how it’s like until it happen to someone close to u…
My uncle’s case is the best example …

my colleague undergo a day operation on Monday..
she also need to wait for result..
our hearts are filled with anxiety…
I really hope all will be better for her….

Life is short and vulnerable… treasure all that u have…

Fireworks..

went to Fireworks at Marina Bay 2007 on Friday nite..

as usual, u expect crowd and traffic jam...

this is our first time we drove to watch fireworks...

we took almost an hour from AYE into Suntec to get a parking lot..

then walk over to Marina Square...Esplanade.. then to the National Day Parade stand..

it was very crowded..so we jus have to move slowly with the crowd..

there were a long queue of ppl waiting to get into the Parade stand.

we believed it was for the ticket holders to get in and have the luxury to sit down

and watched fireworks..

however, we still managed to squeeze through the crowd and got close jus next

to the Parade stand

it was already 8.50pm...fireworks supposed to start at 9pm..

as usual, there will be some delay...

at 9.15pm......

beautiful fireworks started drawings in the black sky and danced with the music...

it was a fantastic view and enjoyment which lasted for 15mins....

after the show, we took half an hour to get to our car.... and another one and a half

hour to drive out of the place... Faint

hubby and i went to shenton way (near my office) to hav roti prada at a 24hr stall =)

this year we took almost 3 hrs jus to watch a 15mins fireworks..hee

Outdoor Wedding Shots...

a day after hubby's proposal anniversary..

we were scheduled for an afternoon outdoor wedding shots

while on our way to the bridal shop..

it started raining heavily again...

so we stayed in bridal shop to wait.... wait... wait...

hoping that the rain will go away....

if it continues to rain... we need to reschedule for another day

and need to coordinate Photographer and MUA schedule..Faint..

Luckily after one and a half hour later....

the rain stopped and the sun came out smiling... PHEW

so i had my make up, hairdo done up..

it was close to 5pm when we set off...

We went Botanic Garden for geenary shots...

it was our first visit to Botanic Garden... hee

there were 2 couples taking their wedding shots there too..

there were lots of tourists at Botanic Garden..

Europeans, Japanese, Koreans, PRCs....

ermm... we became one of the attraction ... HA

Next, we were brought to Changi End for sea shots..

we changed into casual outfits for our last shots at the beach..

we were in our white top and army printed bermudas

specially chosen army design cos we met each other while

hubby was serving his 3 years army contract before he left Scotsland for studies....

it was tiring after all the walking...sun glare... smiling... posing.....

to us....it's an unforgetable day =)

My bro proposed to his gf on 11th Aug after their 7th years courtship

it was a special chosen date cos his gf bday falls on 8th Nov

so it's between 811 and 118 =)

bro bought a very special proposal ring

it was cherry shaped with 2 diamonds from Lee Hwa's Destinee range

cherry = cherish

~ from Magicians Of Love, a taiwan drama show ~

though bro dun understand why i kept saying cherish

as he didnt watch or know about this show

but he gave a very sweet meaning to it

the cherries symbolise

jus you and i =)

bro's proposal brought back some sweet memories of mine ..

Dinner at Tiong Bahru Market..

finally settled our mattress with Simmons at Orchard.. =)
our bedframe was settled one week ago with Harvey Norman..

dinner..
hubby suggested going to Tiong Bahru Market Foodcentre for dinner..
as we were about to finish.. a familiar girl walked past us..
then i realised... it's Rui En, she started off as a singer but occasionally she
cast on TCS shows..
she was in black tank top and bermudas..
it seemed like she stayed nearby and came over to buy food..

she's much more prettier in person than on TV
my eyes jus cant help looking at where she was going..Ha
she's very shy and was trying to avoid eye contact with ppl ard her..
n seemed hurried on her footsteps in getting out of the hust and bustle of the foodcentre.
but as expected, almost everyone looked up when she walked past..
cos she casted in the current ch8 9pm show,Honour and Passion..
in the show, she's very tomboy...
but in person, she's very demure, shy and a beauty...

she packeted the famous food from the foodcentre..
fried sotong hokkien mee, char kway teow...
seemed like having supper with a few others.. ha
she was in the foodcentre for about 15mins and afterwhich she left..
and we also left after hubby's dessert =)

Army, Airforce, Navy, Police Coast Guard, Civil Defence....

sweet morning surprise on National Day...

though hubby was on normal office hour shift ..
but becos of some special reasons..
he has to report work today for half a day.. =(

so he woke up early as usual...
when i woke up in the morning today..
i saw a sweet surprise on kitchen tabletop..
a packet of beehoon together with a note written by hubby..
he bought breakfast for me... =)

while i was deep asleep, he woke up early, went market to buy breakfast,
walked home and left for work...............

came to know from my boss that I managed to "escape" from the upcoming overseas biz trip…
August - 2weeks in Olso (11th - 19th Aug)
October - 5days in Houston (9th - 13th Oct)

if I were to go…
Oslo trip was to take over some handover duties from headoffice..
but if I were to go and come back, it will be another round of month end closing…
and I've to pass down knowledge before interim audit in Mid Sept.
then in Oct, I will be away for vacation till early Nov (my intended planned leave)..…
it's practically infeasible to send me up…

Houston trip was a yearly operation meeting..
cos we have operation people from Olso, Denmark, Houston, Dubai, Shanghai and Singapore..
This kind of meeting definitely NOT for me..
they need to meet up with someone who can make decision …
ask me to attend? I also want to laugh lor…
and and…
the trip is on 9th -13th Oct..
Ermm...too near to my wedding date, 15th Oct...

but in the end, boss didn’t dare to ask me travel cos of my customary wedding
cos I need to do wedding preparation..they dun feel good also to ask me to travel…
hahahahaha…. I didn’t know I was so lucky to be able to escape this way
PHEW!!

but.. boss tell me, next year we will send u down to attend the yearly operation meeting...
it should be in Copenhagen (Denmark) ..... Faint!
anyway, in my heart, i was thinking.. we see how next year bah... heehee
